AirWatch 365 Launches Globally From GatesAir

GatesAir is moving more deeply into managed services with the expansion of its AirWatch365 service.
It is a secure value-added service, announced last year and now available globally, that is intended to give broadcasters a reliable option to outsource support and maintenance.
The company will demonstrate the new AirWatch365 Edge Gateway at the NAB Show (Booth C1046). It is an on-premises appliance for connectivity to FM, DAB Radio and TV transmitters, among other RF systems.
“AirWatch365 is a 24/7 NOC-based service that extends beyond conventional transmitter monitoring by combining continuous telemetry, alarm correlation and analytics across multiple sites, supported by GatesAir teams who can identify and respond to developing issues before they impact operations.”
Available through the GatesAir Care program, the service provides broadcasters with RF experts to monitor transmitter performance, analyze RF conditions and anticipate issues that may affect quality of experience and uptime.
AirWatch365 uses a cloud-based server layer as the central aggregation point, while the site appliance collects and normalizes data from exciters, transmitters and environmental systems. GatesAir said this enables engineering teams to manage alarms, performance metrics, configuration references and reporting across multiple sites, while maintaining local autonomy and fail-safe operation if a site is temporarily disconnected.
Its architecture supports customization through tailored logical views by market or region, site groupings (main, auxiliary or booster), and device-specific KPIs such as forward/reverse power, PA temperatures, audio silence and RDS parameters. Alarm rules and notifications can be aligned with a station’s operating profile and response thresholds, helping reduce alarm fatigue.
